A Seniors Guide to Cancer by Asbestos.com

Older adults are learning more about cancers and other health risks that might affect them. Age is the most significant risk factor for developing cancer. People 65 and older comprise 60% of all cancer patients. To raise awareness, we recently published a Seniors Guide to Cancer that covers topics like wellness tips, the importance of seeing a doctor, and preventive measures:

Since seniors make up around 80% of those diagnosed with mesothelioma and it takes anywhere from 20-50 years after exposure to occur, we have created a great guide for mesothelioma as well:

As a Central Florida-based organization, informing our community and our state about the dangers of asbestos is part of our mission and core values.

Food Stamps for Seniors on Social Security

Seniors and others who receive Social Security can indeed qualify for food stamps. For any adults who are over 60 or have a disability, there are two conditions that must be met. First, your net income must be equal to or less than the federal poverty line (FPL) – which varies by state. Second, your assets must be $4,250 or less.

Check out the guide at retireguide.com/social-security/benefits/food-stamps-for-seniors.
