Welcome Message from the New Chapter President

January 21, 2015

Alan Garfinkel - CAI Board MemberWelcome to the Community Association Institute (CAI) Central Florida 2015.

We enjoyed our first meeting/luncheon of the year and laid out some of our exciting plans for 2015.

Our Members will receive never seen before opportunities to meet, mingle and obtain world class education. Our existing Members and Sponsors will be recognized, appreciated and invited to participate with open and welcoming arms like never before.

Your new Board of Suzan Kearns (President-Elect), John Dougherty (Vice President), Bill Jackson (Treasurer), Gina Holbrook (Secretary), Paul Melville, Lou Biron, Brian Peck, Diane Rullo, Jamie Rodriguez, and Matt Vice along with myself look forward to building upon CAI’s commitment of education, collegiality and fun. We want YOU involved this year. We NEED you involved this year! Please reach out to any of our Board members, committee chairs or me directly at Alan@likeyourlawyer.com to learn how to get the most out of CAI in 2015.

Next month will be our first specific event to welcome brand new Members. Existing Members, friends, and those interested in CAI will help roll out the red carpet to our new Members at Park Social located directly above the Boca restaurant on Park Avenue. These get-togethers are just one of the new and exciting opportunities to get together with old friends and make new ones.

Gina Holbrook, owner of Premier Management jumped right into CAI, obtained a Board position and will be leading the charge to create an amazing end of year Gala. For those of you over the past days, weeks or years sitting on the sidelines not knowing how or when to get involved, the annual Gala Committee is a perfect opportunity to contribute to our Chapter and begin establishing lifelong friendships. Anyone interested in helping create this fabulous event should contact Gina Holbrook at gina.holbrook@premiermgmtcfl.com, Suzan Kearns at Suzan.Kearns@gmail.com, or me at Alan@likeyourlawyer.com.

One of our many goals in CAI is to better educate those living and serving community associations. To that end, don’t forget about the M206 class this week held at the Crowne Plaza on Thursday, January 22 from 8am-5pm and Friday, January 23 from 8am- 12pm. We are pleased to have Margey Meyer, former Dean of Associa University teaching.

I want to thank all of you again for electing me as your President and I am thrilled to share great times with you in 2015.

Faithfully,

Alan Garfinkel
